Dwellings on farm land can be exceptionally complex. Options include placing a dwelling where land is currently being farmed and actual farm income levels must meet required standards. Other options include establishing the land has potential for higher than the median income than other farm parcels within one mile. Another option is to locate the dwelling on a portion of the land that is unsuitable for farm use. This option also requires an evaluation of agriculturally zoned land in the immediate area to determine if the new dwelling will adversely impact for uses in the area. We have a strong background in the application process for farm dwellings. We use current Graphic Information Systems (GIS) to provide the required documentation for dwelling on farm lands.
